ITOR Advances Cancer Care through Giving
The quest to win the war against cancer and save lives is the ultimate objective of the Institute for Translational Oncology Research (ITOR) of Greenville Health System (GHS).
Providing Upstate South Carolina cancer patients with some of the most advanced cancer treatments available anywhere in the world, coupled with the need for industry to achieve greater efficiency and expediency in bringing life-saving cancer drugs successfully through the development pipeline - an exorbitantly expensive, multi-year process - are two of the critical factors that led to the creation of ITOR of GHS.
ITOR's Vision is to become an international destination center for the development and delivery of innovative, personalized cancer therapies.
The Institute is a major pillar of translational cancer research at Greenville Health System. The efforts of ITOR include a phase I Clinical Research Unit, a Biorepository Services platform, and proteomics & genomics capabilities. ITOR will continue to strengthen patient options and enhance treatment availability, progressively solidifying the GHS Cancer Center as a destination for patients and their families.
